Single stream recycling service
You use one container for all of your recycling, no seperating.
Recycling is picked up on the same day as trash. Recycling materials are collected from the town provided blue bin or an open container at the curb, unless otherwise arranged with the office.
The following items are recyclable:
- Newspaper, Magazines, Junk Mail, Paper, cereal boxes, shoe boxes, paper egg cartons, corrugated cardboard (flattened, remove inserts)
- Plastic – all #1-#2 plastic containers under 3 gallons, plastic beverage and food containers #3-#7, caps on
- Glass food, beverage jars, bottles, jugs
- Steel, tin and aluminum food, trays, foil and cans
- Milk and juice cartons, juice boxes with caps on
- Clean glass (soda bottles, food glass) – NO caps
The following items are NOT recyclable:
- No foam cups or packing materials
- No black plastic food or garden containers
- NO PLASTIC BAGS OR PLASTIC WRAP
- No small plastics (pill bottles, alcohol minis or loose caps
- No paper towels, no shredded paper
